How to get to Albena?
There is no airport in Albena. The nearest is located near the city of Varna, the capital of Bulgaria. Varna Airport has international status and daily receives hundreds of flights from most cities in Europe and Asia.
To get from the airport to Albena you can use:
- Taxi or transfer (sometimes hotels offer this service upon request of a guest);
- Bus (the stop is opposite the exit from Terminal 2, tickets can be bought from the driver). Travel time will be from 40 minutes.
From European cities you can often take a bus to get to Albena (with a change in the capital). This method is somewhat cheaper, but takes much longer.
Things to do in Albena
In general, Albena may well satisfy almost any tourist request related to entertainment and activities. The resort offers entertainment for adults and children, for athletes and those who prefer a relaxed vacation. Here are just some of the things you could do in Albena:
- Relax on the beach;
This includes both passive lying under the rays of the Bulgarian sun, and active water activities, such as water skiing or jet ski.
- Sports activities;
This includes diving, tennis, golf, horseback riding, windsurfing, parachutes and much more. The city has a diving school and a riding school, including for children.
- Wellness therapy;
The Dobrudja Hotel has opened the largest balneological center in Bulgaria. Here you can go through various procedures from massage to mud therapy.

You can go on a sightseeing tour of Albena or in neighboring cities, for example, the city of Balchik, which was founded in the 5th century BC.
