The country is so huge that there is a place here both for outdoor activities and ski resorts, as well as for an excellent beach and sightseeing holiday. Perhaps one of the most popular destinations in Turkey for a beach holiday are the cities on the Mediterranean coast. About one of them, Belek, we will tell you today. How to get to Belek?
Belek nearest airport is Antalya Airport. It is located about half an hour from the city. It can be reached on direct flights of European and Turkish airlines or with a change in Istanbul or Ankara.
To get from the airport to Belek, you can use a taxi or transfer. It is fast and convenient, but expensive.
A cheaper option is a bus with a change at Antalya bus station, and then another bus to Belek. In general, the travel time can be about 2 hours.
Another option is to rent a car. You can find rental points directly at the airport terminal in the lobby in front of the main exit.
Things to do in Belek
Belek boasts a huge selection of diverse entertainment for every taste. This city has a reputation as one of the most expensive and luxurious resorts in Turkey on the Mediterranean Sea with an appropriate level of service.
Here you can completely relax on stunning beaches surrounded by pine and eucalyptus forests. For golf lovers there are extra-class fields, tennis courts and great opportunities for practicing water sports. Along the coast are the most luxurious hotels that operate on an all-inclusive system. And just 20 minutes from the city are the ruins of ancient cities.
Also, in the vicinity of the city there are many natural attractions where you could go on a tour with a group or on your own. Be sure to visit Kursunlu Falls, Olive Stone Cave, and Keprulu Canyon National Park. Local nature and species will not leave you indifferent.
And of course, Belek is a resort spa center in Turkey. In addition to the usual spa care, thalassotherapy is actively used here. You can have spa treatments using algae, mud and sea water. Such procedures can significantly improve the condition of the skin, speed up metabolism, strengthen the immune system and contribute to weight loss.
Hotels in Belek
Most of the hotels in Belek are luxury 5 star hotels, all inclusive. As a rule, they are located on the coast, have their own fenced beach, water parks, spa centers, golf courses and much more. You can find budget accommodation in Belek, but it is extremely difficult, especially in the summer months. However, if you still want to save money, look for hotels farther from the coast, as the farther from the sea, the cheaper the room.
