Karabuk city is located in the western part of the Black Sea region of Turkey. In addition to its historical wealth, Karabuk is also striking in its natural beauty. Houses in Safranbolu

This place has always been the most frequently visited point on the map of Karabuk. In addition, these houses are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Scientists say that due to the use of egg whites in the construction of houses, they are quite resistant to natural disasters, such as earthquakes. 800 houses in Safranbolu are under state protection. These houses have two or three floors and are painted white. The houses are designed so as not to close each other’s views.
Koprulu Mehmet Pasha Mosque
The Safranbolu district has many historical monuments dating back to the Ottoman period. One of these monuments is the Koprulu Mehmet Pasha Mosque, which was built in 1662. The mosque, which Koprulu Mehmet Pasha built during his residency in Safranbolu, was renovated twice. The courtyard of the mosque has a unique sundial. These sundials were created at the same time as the mosque and represent a metal plate on marble.
Yoruk village
Yoruk village is one of those rare places where the most outstanding examples of Ottoman architecture have survived to this day. The history of the village is about 700 years old. It was taken under the protection of the Ministry of Tourism of Turkey as an object of cultural and historical heritage. This village is located 11 kilometers from Safranbolu. Here you can see houses built by Turkmen who came to Anatolia in the 11th century. The 300-year-old Ksim Sipahioglu’s mansion is one of the most beautiful mansions in the Yoruk village. Here in the village, you can relax in a small cozy cafe with a local touch. You can drink tea with baklava, or enjoy coffee, in the shade of ancient trees.
