By air. So, if you have chosen to move by plane, then you have several options. Ordu has its own airport – Ordu-Giresun Airport. It is located on an artificial island in the Black Sea. In the world there are only 2 such airports, and this became the third. Only local flights from Istanbul and Ankara arrive here. They are carried out by airlines: Turkish Airlines, and low-cost airlines Pegasus and SunExpress. The nearest airports that serve international flights are located in the neighboring cities: Carsamba Airport in Samsun (130 km from Ordu) and airport in Trabzon (143 km from Ordu).

By water. You can get to Ordu by ferry from Russia and Ukraine. In addition to passengers, ferries also take cars on board. This is good for those traveling by car.

By land. This is the easiest, but also the longest way to get to Ordu. Travel time from Istanbul will be about 11 hours, from Ankara about 7 hours. Keep in mind that there are toll roads on the route. You can also reach Ordu by intercity bus from any Turkish city.

Boztepe Mountain

Boztepe is perhaps one of the most popular attractions in Ordu. The mountain is located at an altitude of 530 meters above sea level. From here you can enjoy the most beautiful panoramic views of the city and the Black Sea. You can reach Boztepe by cable car. It runs over green forests and buildings; its total length is 2350 meters. It is also possible to reach Boztepe by car. The mountain is located just 8 kilometers from the city center. In Boztepe there are restaurants and cafes where you can have a great time, as well as places for recreation and picnics. There are several hotels with beautiful views from the window. Pasaoglu Konagi (Pashaoglu Mansion)

The Pashaoglu mansion, located in the center of the city of Ordu, was built in 1896. The stones used in the construction of the mansion were brought from Unye, and the tree from Romania. The mansion is one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman architecture. In 1982, the mansion was transferred to the Ministry of Culture. The Pashaoglu mansion was reconstructed and opened as the Pashaoglu Museum of Ethnography. Weapons, jewelry, men’s and women’s clothing are on display as exhibits.
