Information about Pamukkale
Pamukkale travertines are a real natural miracle that amazes the imagination of everyone who sees them. Snow-white terraces and pools filled with aquamarine water.
Travertines formed over millions of years when, due to earthquakes and rock movements, underground thermal waters saturated with calcium burst to the surface of the earth. Gradually evaporating in the sun, calcium crystallized, forming snow-white travertines. Today you can see with your own eyes the result of this long process.
Pamukkale travertines are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This place can be visited at any time of the year. Pamukkale is one of the most famous Turkish health resorts, and the local landscapes are so unique that you will not find similar anywhere else in the world. This is one of the most popular attractions in Turkey. Over the past year, more than 2.5 million tourists have visited it, and this figure continues to grow.
