How to get to Side?
There are several ways to get to Side.
Firstly, by plane. The nearest airport is located in Antalya. It serves domestic and international flights. To get from the airport to Side, you can take a taxi, transfer or go by bus. You need any bus that goes to Manavgat. From here to Side, the distance is only a couple of kilometers and you can easily find a taxi or minibus going to Side.
The second way to get to Side is by bus. This way assumes that you are already in Turkey. Then go to the nearest bus station and buy a ticket at any of the companies following to Antalya / Manavgat. Travel time will take about 9-10 hours (from Istanbul or Ankara), so it is better to take a trip at night. The buses are quite comfortable, with air conditioning, TV-sets and even food service, so you can relax.
Things to do in Side
Side, unlike many other Mediterranean cities on the Turkish coast, attracts the attention of tourists at any time of the year. The town is often called an open sky museum, bearing in mind the huge number of ancient monuments of past centuries.
