Vietnam has long been a center of attraction for thousands of tourists from all over the world. And this is not surprising, because local beaches, the sea and nature provide a unique opportunity to spend a really great vacation in every way. There are many resort places in Vietnam, but today we will talk about one of them, Phu Quoc Island. It is one of the largest islands in the country and the most famous center of ecological tourism. More than half of the island’s area is occupied by the Natural National Park. Its snow-white beaches, palm trees and tropical jungle look as if they have not yet been touched by civilization. The island has the best resorts in the country. We will tell about them in our Phu Quoc travel guide.

How to get to Phu Quoc?

Phu Quoc International Airport is a few kilometers from the city of Duong Dong and Long Beach main resort area. Every day, hundreds of direct flights from France, Germany, the UK, Turkey, China, Singapore and other countries land here. From the airport to the capital of the island (the city of Duong Dong) you can only get by taxi or a pre-ordered transfer, there is no bus service.

Phu Quoc areas: where to stay?

The center and capital of the island is Duong Dong, a small town on the west coast, near the airport. The city and its nearby Long Beach is the busiest part of the island. Travel agencies, cafes and shops work here. Since all this is extremely rare in other areas of the island, it is better to settle closer to the city, fortunately, the vast majority of hotels are located here.

A less lively area of the island is the area adjacent to Ong Lang Beach. It is much quieter and calmer here than at Long Beach but the infrastructure is less developed. You can choose other parts of Phu Quoc for your accommodation only if you really want privacy, as there is nothing around the hotel except for wildlife. In this case, you will have to eat only in the hotel restaurant, and go to Duong Dong for any purchases.
